A practical ministry class to introduce the student to Biblical principles of discipleship. Several approaches to discipleship will be surveyed, with a view to encouraging students to make a significant personal investment in those they disciple.
This course continues the study of PM 608 with an emphasis on correlating biblical exegesis and preaching. The student is required to prepare and preach two sermons.
Leadership styles and developing a team approach to church management are studied, with an emphasis on time management, delegating, responsibility, and planning and nurturing good working relationships. Decision making and conflict management will be applied in a student group participation project.
A presentation of various approaches to leading and organizing worship for the church, including traditional worship, choirs, and contemporary worship styles.
