CHRISTIAN EDUCATION (TOTAL HOURS: 12)

CE 702: History and Philosophy of Christian Education (3 Hours)

A Biblical survey of religious education, with an emphasis on students developing their own philosophy of Christian education.

CE 703: Educational Program of the Church (3 Hours)

An introduction to the organization and administration of church education, including leadership roles and interrelations with other church staff members.

CE 705: Current Issues in Christian Education (3 Hours)

An investigation of current challenges in Christian education, with reviews of new ideas and techniques in CE today.

CE 706 or 707: Teaching Children or Teaching Adults (3 Hours)

CE 706 - Teaching Children: An investigation of characteristics and learning models of children, with an emphasis on methods, resources, and curriculum evaluation. A "hands on" practicum is included.

CE 707 - Teaching Adults: An introduction to the characteristics and needs of the adult learner, with an emphasis on techniques, resources, and curriculm development. A "hands on" practicum is included.
