UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Rocky Mountain BIble College is men and women who have chosen to make the study of the Bible a priority in their lives.

The college enrolls Christians who have believed in Jesus Christ for eternal life. Students applying are expected to adhere to our doctrinal statement. Their lifestyle and relationships should reflect a commitment to a Christ-centered life and obedience to His Word. The college expects applicants to be affiliated with a home church in their local communities.

General requirements for college entrance is the completion of the following recommended 15 units of credit in preparation for college level work:

  • English – 4 units
  • Social Studies – 2 units
  • Mathematics – 2 units
  • Science – 2 units
  • Electives – 5 units

Applicants are also required to submit an entrance examination score (SAT or ACT).

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
For enrollment the applicant must submit the appropriate documents in advance of enrollment date. For fall semester, the normal application period is February - July. For the spring semester, the normal application period is September - November. Interested students may contact the admissions office for an application packet or download it here.


HIGHSCHOOL GRADUATE
Applicants must submit an official high school transcript from public, private, or home school. If there is no official transcript, then they must obtain a signed parental statement indicating that they have followed the homeschool requirements for their state and a written transcript that lists
all the courses they have taken in grades 9-12 and their graduation date. It is the applicant’s responsibility to see that these are mailed directly to Rocky Mountain Bible College by the issuing school. The following documentation is required along with the nonrefundable $20.00 application fee:


TRANSFER STUDENT
An individual who is attending or has attended other schools (colleges or universities) and wishes to transfer his/her semester hours toward a degree at RMBC&S.

ENROLLMENT
You must submit the documents listed below. To receive an RMBC&S admissions packet you may download the forms below:

TRANSFER OF CREDITS
Course credits with a minimum grade of 2.0 (C) earned at other accredited colleges and universities are accepted at full value to the extent that the courses are comparable to RMBC&S’s stated requirements. A maximum of 60 semester hours may be transferred toward the B.B.E. degree. Thus, a student must complete at least four semesters (60 semester hours) of academic work on campus. An official transcript from the institution(s) attended showing satisfactory course completion is required.


VETERANS
Rocky Mountain Bible College and Seminary is approved for students to receive VA (Veteran Affairs) benefits. You may secure forms from the registrar at RMBC&S or from a regional Veterans Administration Office. Important Notes: Students eligible to receive this financial aid should keep in mind that the funds may not be available for a number of weeks and should be prepared to meet registration expenses. Under federal law, authorized state and federal personnel are provided access to a veteran’s school records.

VISITING OR AUDITING STUDENTS
A visiting or auditing student is categorized as

  • Any part-time student, taking no more than 6 credit semester hours, who is not seeking to complete a degree at RMBC&S.
  • An auditing student is any part-time student who takes a class to gain knowledge rather than semester credit.

EARLY ADMISSIONS
Is available to qualified high school students as described below. This program allows you to study at Rocky Mountain Bible College while still completing high school. Note: The applicant who has already completed his/her senior year of high school is not eligible for the early admissions program.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
An applicant...

  • ...must have already completed his/her junior year of high school
  • ...must have taken the SAT with a satisfactory score
  • ...must have parents’ approval

If accepted, student must receive grades of 2.0 (C) or better in college courses to remain in the program.

ENROLLMENT
An early admission applicant must submit the documents listed below.

  • Early Admission Application (may be obtained from the Admissions Office)
  • $20 application fee, and choice of courses
  • Transcript of academic credit from your high school
  • A copy of SAT scores must be sent to Rocky Mountain Bible College and Seminary
  • Two recommendations (one by a high school principal or counselor and one by a pastor)

Upon submission of the Early Admission Request the applicant will be notified in writing concerning admission to the program and registration. The deadline for fall semester entrance is August 1, and for spring semester is November 15.

Only one course of no more than four credit hours may be taken during any regular semester, unless a lightened high school load is documented. The courses must be from the 100 level required courses or the 100-200 level elective offerings in the Bible/Theology curriculum.

Early admission students in good standing are automatically admitted to the college upon graduation from high school, however all additional credentials must be received before college enrollment.

COST AND CREDIT
Early admission students may take a maximum of 12 semester hours with a tuition charge of $125.00 per semester hour. Credit earned during early admission may be applied to degree programs at Rocky Mountain Bible College and Seminary without additional charge. Credit earned during early admission may be transferred to other colleges or universities as follows:

  • Under 60 semester hours – a student may transfer the hours taken during early admission after payment is made of regular tuition and fees that were in effect at the time the course(s) were taken at RMBC&S.

  • After completion of 60 semester hours (2 years) at RMBC&S, a student may transfer the hours taken during early admission without additional payment.

What happens now that you have completed the application packet? Here is what you can expect from us:
  • After we receive all of your application materials and documentation, we will review your file and notify you in writing concerning your admission status.

  • Upon your acceptance, you will receive information concerning registration and classes.
