ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s degree is required for admission. Rocky Mountain Seminary is for men and women who have chosen to make the study of the Bible a priority in their lives.
The Seminary enrolls Christians who have believed in Jesus Christ for eternal life. Students applying are expected to adhere to our doctrinal statement. Their lifestyle and relationships should reflect a commitment to a Christ-centered life and obedience to His Word. The Seminary expects applicants to be affiliated with a home church in their local communities.
ADMISSION PROCEDURES
For enrollment the applicant must submit the appropriate documentation in advance of the enrollment date. For fall semester the normal application period is February-July. For the spring semester the normal application period is September-November. The following documentation is required along with the nonrefundable $20.00 application fee:
CLASSIFICATION OF STUDENTS
TRANSFER STUDENTS
An applicant wishing to transfer credits to RMS must submit a completed application and documentation as listed above. Transfer of credits with a minimum grade of 2.0 (C) earned at other accredited colleges and universities are accepted at full value to the extent that the course are comparable to RMS stated requirements. Transfer credit is always at the discretion of the receiving school and both RMS credits and transferred credits from other schools will be recorded on the student’s permanent record.
VETERANS
Rocky Mountain Seminary is approved for students to receive VA (Veteran Affairs) benefits. You may secure forms from the registrar at RMS or from the regional Veterans Administration Office. Important Notes: Students eligible to receive financial aid should keep in mind that the funds may not be available for a number of weeks and should be prepared to meet registration expenses before classes begin. Under Federal law, authorized state and Federal personnel are provided access to a veteran’s school records.
AUDITING STUDENTS
An auditing student is taking classes to gain knowledge rather than semester credit. Enrollment for an auditing-only student requires the following documentation along with payment of the nonrefundable $20.00 application fee:
SPECIAL STUDENT STATUS
A limited number of applicants without the requisite bachelor’s degree may be accepted for special student status in the Graduate Certificate program and in the Masters degree program (M.A. in biblical studies). Such applicants, constituting no more than ten percent of any program, will be considered on the basis of spiritual maturity, work experience, ministry involvement, and potential for academic and ministerial success. Applicants should complete the regular application forms and request information for admission with special student status.
DISTANCE-EDUCATION CREDIT
Credit earned by distance-education studies through an accredited seminary may be accepted up to a maximum of one-fourth of seminary program credits.

- Approved conduct in accordance with the seminary’s code of conduct.
- At least one year of resident study. This means a minimum of 30 credits earned at Rocky Mountain Seminary.
- All financial matters with the seminary must be finalized (a student may not graduate owing money to RMS).
One-Year Graduate Certificate Program Graduation Requirements
- Complete required program credits (31-32 credits) with a minimum of 30 semester credits earned in residence.
- Earn a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 (C).
Master of Arts in Biblical Studies Graduation Requirements
- Complete required program credits with a minimum of one year in residence (30 credit hours).
- Earn a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (4.0 scale).
- Normally, complete the program within a four-year period from the date of matriculation.
Master of Theology Graduation Requirements
- Complete 64 hours of course work and be approved by the Seminary faculty.
- Satisfactorily participated in the leadership meetings of their local church as verified in writing by a senior pastor or chairman of an elder board.
- Earn a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (4.0 scale)
- Each student must adhere to the doctrines delineated in the RMS Doctrinal Statement.
